Heyyyy y’all! We had so much fun planning our family photoshoot. I mean, I had an easy excuse to go shopping, take photos, and spend time with my husband and doggo!
This year, we decided to do our family shoot in the infamous Houston Museum District. Our second family shoot was indoors in our beautiful apartment. We loved living there, so why not find an excuse to show it off? When we contacted Bianca, she gave us the freedom to choose where we wanted to shoot. We agreed that the museum district fit our look and it’s just a beautiful place to explore.
When picking outfits, we started out with my look. I was searching for a dress I could wear multiple ways and this suede olive dress was the perfect match. It’s a good fall piece, but I can see myself wearing it during the winter seasons too! I actually got really lucky when I grabbed the LAST white lace blouse at Anthropologie. In the fitting room, I paired both pieces and it worked just like magic. To my surprise, the white lace has been worn many times and in so many different ways. I finalized my outfit with a classic pair of Sam Edelman booties. Matt’s outfit followed – we found a deep gray corduroy pant and we worked our way up. A classic pair of Docs to make the outfit a little more casual was the perfect finish to his look. We picked a super cute bandana from Madewell, because what kind of fashionable dog mom would I be if I didn’t accessorize her?
During the shoot, Eloise was being a little attention grabber, so people were constantly stopping by to say hi to our big girl and she was constantly distracted. I forgot to bring her treats to incentivize the “sit” and “wait” commands. Better luck next year right? She still turned out super cute though!
Matt and I enjoyed our time with Bianca and her husband, Troy. It felt like we knew each other for years. We can’t wait to spend time with them when they visit from NOLA. Thank you so much for the beautiful photos!
