C Nails & Spa Review

C Nails & Spa Review

Hey lovelies!

Pampering my nails  is on top of my todo list always. Nail Queen is not my title, but I will settle for Nail Princess. Therefore, I am starting a series where I show you my experiences at nail salons, or maybe if I’m trying out new products.

All photos were taken by Vashti & Co. Thank you Vashti for the awesome photos! Check out her site if you’re looking for a photographer for any occasion.

My first post will be on C Nails & Spa.  It is located in Highland Village.

I went to the salon because I had an overdue acrylic removal to be done. C Nails & Spa usually charges $10 to just do that. The place is not congested like other salons and the ladies are actually really nice.  Upon arrival, the host offered to do shellac, and I respectfully declined. But she offered to provide the service with a discounted rate, since I was already getting acrylic removal. I enthusiastically accepted… who doesn’t get excited over a discount? Plus, I’m incline to say yes to mostly everything at a nail salon… you have now discovered my weakness. There are two ways acrylic can be removed- peeling it off (ouch!) or soaking the nails in acetone. It is a painful, yet fast process to peel the product off, but I do believe your nail will come off with it as well. The lady began to peel off the product, when I asked to just soak my nails instead, even though it takes quite a while. The shellac process continued with an AMAZING massage (It almost put me to sleep). Overall I would go again, there aren’t many other location that charges $10 to remove fake nails, most places will charge $20, which I find ridiculous. I gave it a 4 out of 5 because I did not like the peeling process, thankfully the nail technician had the second option at hand (see what I did there..). Total price for acrylic removal and manicure shellac: $37. Not bad huh?

Tip: If your in a hurry and need a fast service, this is the place to go.

Would you like another nail salon review? Let me know and I’ll check it out!
