Five Favorite: Makeup Remover

Five Favorite: Makeup Remover

Hello!

When it comes to my face, I consider myself very low maintenance. Seriously, I hate washing my face when I get home and I also hate keeping up with facial remedies. Recently, actually this year, I started caring about my face! Therefore, I have searched high and low for my favorite products that help me just get the job done! Check out the low maintenance gal’s five favorite makeup removal products.

Before we get started: my face is considered normal and I do not get acne on the regular basis only on the time of the month). Hence, why I feel like my face is low maintenance. I believe in the simplest way to take care of your skin, therefore I am only suggesting the products below. There are many other steps to clean your makeup and cleanse your face too that I totally skip out on because I am lazy, but the products below are awesome and many are for different types of skin too!

***Disclosure: I received products in exchange for a review (they will be marked C/O), all opinions are my own. This post contains affiliate links- all proceeds go solely to Hey! Wendy Vanessa.

Don’t forget to fill out the survey to my blog! You’re answers have helped out so much. Because of the survey, many of you have initiated and requested my “Five Favorite” theme, where you will get a dose of my five favorite beauty or style items. Thank you so much!

Ponds Wet Cleansing Towelettes (C/O)

The Ponds Wet Cleansing Towelettes are exactly what their name states- wet! You know how some face wipes tend to dry out throughout time, yes, these definitely do not. I have even had to wring out the wipe when I cleaned my face. The Cleansing Towelettes remover heavy makeup and works well with all skin types.

Makeup Eraser

By far, the Makeup Eraser has been the easiest product to use. It is a cloth filled with many little fibers that gently remove any and all harsh makeup in no time, all you have to do is add water.  Since I’m low maintenance, this is one of the hardest items to keep up with. The cloth should be cleaned at least once a week because it gets dirty real fast. You can pop it in the washer or hand wash it. I do a bit of both.

Simple Cleansing Wipes (C/O)

Apart from removing my makeup, I also use Simple Cleansing Wipes as a facial cleanser. The cleansing wipes are my to-go product for a sunny and hot day. After work, I like to also clean the sweat off my face and I feel new and refreshed. The product does not burn my face nor do it leave it with a sticky residue. Use to remove light makeup.

Neutrogena Oil-Free Cleansing Wipes C/O

I’m currently using the Neutrogena Oil-Free Cleansing Wipes  right now and I love them! The best part? They have a small scent of grapefruit. If you rub too hard into your skin, it will start to burn, but other than that, they are very efficient! This is a great product for those who have acne prone skin too!

Coconut Oil

The simple and magical coconut oil, what can it not do? If I were stranded in an island, and I had one item to take it would be coconut oil. Although I hate having to get cotton balls in order to use the product, I love that fact that it is helpful to your skin.

Bonus: Soap

Alright, so before I actually cared about removing my makeup, I would use the handy dandy soap! My all time favorite soap is the one that you find at Whole Foods, although I cannot find a direct link, here is an informational sheet on the product! The Alaffia Good soap comes in many scents, but my all-time favorite is the black (scentless) soap. I always recommend products that are natural and without an artificial scent, or alcohol. I also use Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile in lavender soap from time to time (ps- I use it as a shampoo and body wash too!).

Thanks for sharing! I used the coconut oil too, but I noticed it was breaking me out. Cries bc I love it since it’s natural. I am also low maintenance… I hate myself for it bc I’m close to 30 now. 😁😖 My favorite is Cetaphil but I’m kinda bored. Haha anyway I’m all over the place. Next can you do your top 5 stores to shop? I’m bored with my go tos in that department as well and I love your style HAHA
