I finally had my first ever blogger event! I got to celebrate my 2-year anniversary as a blogger for Hey! Wendy Vanessa. One word to describe the event: success! Honestly, I thought it was going to be around 5 people showing up, including me. Nope, over 30 of y’all showed up! Bloggers, friends, readers, and new friends! I cannot believe it. That’s so crazy! I have never planned a blogger party, or any kind of party really. We had fun shopping, enjoying light bites, sipping on some punch and sangria, and getting makeup and hair touch ups. Everyone was mingling and having a great time, which makes my heart oh-so-happy! I want to do it again, yet I am still exhausted from the Hey! Wendy Vanessa Turns Dos event… haha.
Here are a couple of things I learned that may help you too:
- Start planning at least a month in advance. Boi…. I started way late, 3 weeks before the night of the event to be exact. That was typical Wendy, and all I can say is no, just, no.
- Have a team. I could not have pulled this off without people who could support me and back me up.
- Create a vision board. I created a theme, color scheme, and had photos of what I wanted to see at my event.
- Think of something extra! My first extra idea: have succulent headpieces. The second idea: hair and lip retouching with a luxurious salon.
The clothes at Poppy Clothing are just a dream!
Shout out to Studio A Salon for getting the ladies doing hair retouches and lip coloring.
Shout out to Holly for traveling all the way from Canada to come to this event!

I seriously could not do anything without these three people:
Matt: Thanks for running around town (literally) getting last minute things and patiently waiting for a lot of things! PS-he is the other half of this blog. So he should be celebrated too.
Laura: Laura was behind the scenes taking photos and setting photos live IG. Thank you, Laura, for letting me be social and take some amazing IG shots.
Amy: I literally texted her every time I freaked out about the “little” things. In the end, she held the fort down. Thanks, Amy!!!
Ashley: (not picutred) Thanks for running a mini errand, that ended up turning into a grand errand. haha
