New York Eats!

New York Eats

Hey everyone!

I recently took a trip to NY and ate my heart out. You know when you travel, you make plans to see and do many things, right? Well, one of my main objects was to find amazing restaurants and eat amazing food. That I did very well and I probably gained a couple of pounds. I give thanks to my friend, Kayla, a foodie, brunch queen, and a transformed New Yorker, she literally gets credit for almost all the places you will see.

Lido

You want bottomless mimosas? This is your place to go! I’ve gone to Lido for brunch twice now,  no regrets both times! I recommend going to Lido for a weekend brunch with bottomless mimosas, and request a reservation in order to not wait for at least 30-45 minutes.

Location: Harlem

What I got: poached eggs on oven roasted potatoes, sautéed spinach, vidalia onion and a side of bacon

Crif Dogs

I originally heard about Crif Dogs in Anthony Bourdain’s Netflix series, Layover, and I’m so happy we went! Fun fact: they actually make their own sausage in-house. If you want to have some drinks afterwards, I recommend going to PDT (Please Don’t Tell), there is a secret way to get in, so do your research beforehand!

Location: Manhattan

What I got: Spicy Redneck – bacon-wrapped sausage, cole slaw, chili, and jalapeños with a side of waffle fries.

Harlem Shake

We all know about Shake Shack, but do you know about Harlem Shake??? I actually tried doing the harlem shake once or twice while we were walking there haha, yea I failed. Great atmosphere, and one of the best burgers I’ve had.

Location: Harlem

What I got: Dimepiece Special (Harlem Classic, fries, and a drink)

Baked By Melissa

Want to find the cutest little itty bitty bite-size cupcakes? Find Baked by Melissa. We were walking from Black Tap (3 hour wait) to another restaurant and found a little bakery burrowed in the walls of SoHo. The cupcakes were $1. So, of course we had to have some!

Location: SoHo

What I got: tie dye (Kayla got the cotton candy)

Mister Softee

I’m an ice cream lover, give me ice cream and I’ll be happy. I actually had Mister Softee in Coney Island, but find them anywhere in the streets on NY. This  ice cream was the creamiest, and softest dessert I’ve ever had. It’s a must have!

Location: anywhere!

What I got: vanilla with rainbow sprinkles on a cone

I decided to create this in a two-part series, so head on over now!
