I have been wanting to get out of town do something spontaneous for a while now. One of my goals is to travel light, which is so hard! My last travel included two luggages and a carryon. I’m crazy, I know. But, I found a life-hack, per say, on traveling light. Wearing athleisure! One- if you want to work out, you have a good set of clothes at hand. Two- they are comfortable for road trips, plane rides. Three- not only are they multifunctional for the obvious reasons, there is one more function prAna has over other brands.
Honestly, athleisure wear is one of the easiest things to wear when you are traveling. I always carry a set of spare clothes in a backpack, since my incident traveling to New York. (My luggage got lost and Matt planned a fancy dinner date. I was dressed super comfortable from the plane and my makeup bag was in the luggage. We had to shop for a new outfit and some makeup… ugh.) As I was previously saying, prAna has some specific qualities over other brands. See, the thing about these pants is that they are also swimwear. I can imagine wearing them on a road trip and spontaneously finding a lake to take a dip in. I wouldn’t have to change at all. Except afterwards of course haha.
The first thing I learned about prAna was their stand on sustainability — the company seeks out materials from sustainable sources, like organic cotton, recycled wool, and hemp. It’s really important to be a conscious consumer. I encourage you to learn about the clothes you are shopping for, for example- where the resources are coming from, who is making the items and what is the real cost of an item you purchased.
