Studio A Salon

Hi yall!

I want to share my experience with a local hair and makeup salon located in the Rice Village area. They graciously attended my blogger party and gave me a complimentary hair and makeup look for the night.

But first, let me tell you how we met…

So the first time I heard of Studio A Salon was through our family business. We go to special events, parties, etc and serve our food. Three years ago we got invited to Studio A Salon’s Cinco De Mayo party called The Heart of Cinco De Mayo. The event is family friendly and their main goal is to get donations to All Our Hearts Ministry. They have ballet folklorico, a fun DJ, and a taste of Mexico in every corner. Studi0 A Salon has hosted it for three years now and it keeps growing more and more.

After this year’s event, I decided to contact them to see if they could do my hair for my blog party. They said yes! Studio A Salon also generously decided to make a presence at the party by giving the attendees hair and makeup retouches. Honestly, what caught my attention was the women’s hair and braids at the Cinco De Mayo party, I immediately thought, “I WANT THAT!” I’m so grateful they said yes!

Entering the salon, I was kindly greeted by the hostess and was seated. Jesse, a Studio A Salon hair stylist, was going to be my hair stylist. David, the salon owner, gave Jesse a visual direction of what my hair was going to be like. I just stated I wanted some sort of cool braids. After the discussion, Jesse started doing my hair. Sun and Moon Succulents provided hair pieces, so those were incorporated into my hair as well.

As my hair was being finished, Loro, their makeup artist began doing my makeup. Two things I look for when I finding a good makeup artist- how they do my eyebrows and the amount of coverage they do on my face. I love doing my makeup, and I actually really love my technique. But if I go to a professional, I want my face to look extra flawless. And Loro acheived it!
